What: Beaver Day Parade is a community gathering and puppet parade on the banks of the Mississippi River. This event will connect enthusiasts, experts, and neighbors in celebrating beavers and learning more about all they do as ecosystem engineers in the Twin Cities and beyond.
Schedule:
Learn, Make, Play: 2:30 – 4:00pm
Learn about beaver research and behavior from scientists and ambassadors, get beavered with face paint or accessories, print beaver bandanas, and meet other beaver-curious people! Who will be there: Fairfax Beaver Lab, Friends of Bde Psin (Lake Hiawatha), The Bell Museum, On Native Land, Science Museum of MN, Beaver Puppet Collaborative Puppeteers + a face painter, beaver Bandana printmaking, and more!
Parade Kick-off: 4:00pm
Bring a prepared beaver (or beaver friend) costume or make a last minute accessory at the event! We will spread the joy of beavers by walking along the river from Graco Park to Boom Island and back, wearing or carrying our hand-made creations. Bring your noise-makers!

Event concludes: 5:30pm
Participants are welcome to move to other public places in Graco Park to keep visiting as we clean up.
