General Accessibility Notes:

The River Hub and terrace patio and sidewalks, including the bathrooms, are wheelchair accessible. The River Hub terrace lawn is grass-covered and can be accessed without stairs from the bike path (use caution and watch for cyclists). From the River Hub building the grass is accessed by a staircase. All of the parade activities, with the exception of the beaver play area in the grass, can be accessed via sidewalks without stairs. The parade route is paved but bumpy in places at Boom Island with a slight grade. Contact [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
Weather plan:
The event is rain or shine, with some indoor space and covered patio space. The parade will feature some paper-based and cardboard construction puppets, but will continue if rain is light (come prepared with raincoat/poncho/umbrella -- whatever helps you feel prepared!)

Can I make a puppet at the parade? What do I do with my puppets after the parade?
You can make a quick accessory like a mask or tail, or get your face painted, but we will not have paint or paper mache etc. or other puppet workshop materials on parade day. Please bring your puppets and costumes ready to go aside from the quick accessories we will have available! Attend a PUPPET WORKSHOP ahead of time to prepare and get ideas! And please take anything your brought with you home or gift to another participant if you would like.
Things to Note from Graco Park:
This park facility does not allow alcohol on the premises for this event.
Graco is a smoke-free park.
There is one, all-gender, 3 stall restroom at Graco.
Outside/catered food is allowed. All food must be prepared off site.
There is no access to storage (for coats, extra decorations, bins of materials, etc.) onsite beyond under your table if you are tabling. For participants, please keep track of your belongings - we will have a designated area for staging puppets before the parade.
